With a dedicated team led by Consulting Winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown, they specialize in crafting 100% varietal bottlings of Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, and Grenache. Furthermore, they also serve alternating proprietors and custom crush clients.

The Challenge

Streamlining Premium Producer Operations

Outpost Wines initially relied on a combination of Excel and paper-based management for daily operations, leading to inefficient and error-prone workflows.

Initial Pain Points:
  • “Work orders” were transcribed on printed and handwritten lists
  • Harvest-related tasks were communicated verbally and recorded on paper
  • Data from lab analysis and activity logs were manually entered into Excel, typically on a monthly basis
  • Managing inventory and information for both estate wines and wines for alternating proprietors and custom crush clients became a formidable challenge

The Outpost team, recognizing these shortcomings, began their search for an ideal solution. Many production software options on the market were deemed too extensive, too expensive, and not attuned to their specific needs. Their search culminated in 2015 with the discovery of InnoVint.
